Guys i need you to tell me all mage skills that are not working.

I have played mage a long time on this server and its sad to see people say "why would you play mage.......the class its terrible blah blah. Mages are very hard class to balance, but yes atm only fire mages seem playable because the other 2 elements dont really seem to be worth using.

I believe that stun rate and slow/freeze rate do need to be increased significantly inorder to make ice/lighting useful. Their dmg honestly doesnt matter its the effects that do. So this is what I suggest to do about mages.

1. Increase stun and slow rate maybe 15 to 25 percent on staff and even more on long range spells by 25 to 35 percent. This actually allows mages to party with melee and assist them with run away sin and archer parties. There would be more int set mages then all flame mages.

2. BRING BACK 33 LIGHT SPELL. The 33 light spell is what allowed mage vs mage parties. I remember back then when the 33 light spell was still active at countering spells, it allowed mages to counter other mages parties from just nova nova all day. When a skilled mage party vs another mage parties ones that utilized tp and 33 light spell always came out victorious.

3. If you want to encourage others to play light/ice mage. Make blink a more useful spell. Originally blink had unlimited range and could be used to get out of any situation. But now blink has the range of warrior's spell decent. I agree that blink was too powerful but now its too weak and honestly not useful at all. They should change blink and give the spell a faster refresh rate or longer distance because atm blink is even worse the warriors decent which doesnt make any sense at all. Back in the day mages had high defence and 2k mp and hp with chaos staff. Now they have low ac, low stun and slow rate, 1k mp and hp, bad blink. You have to improve something, and since blink doesnt do dmg, I believe it is time to buff that spell just a bit.

I have many many more idea on how to balance this class, tell me what you guys think?

you got a good point on blink now the whole ac + hp nd mp thing i dont agree that is on how u build your class its not gm's fault that all mages decide to use paper mage build because they dont know how to play mage and think that is best build yes mage is very complex class but if you know how to play it then its one of the best classes to play i have 1.9k def 9.6k hp (with kahless 10k+ hp) 13k mana nd with shield i have 2.5k def o and btw i do almost same exact damage as all the people running around with 255 mp and 157 hp now i do think that blink shouldnt have a range limit with it's cool down it cant be spam so i dont see a problem with blink going back to before

Sry but i disagree with that. Why?

-1st.: Mages will be able to survive from any situation like 1 years ago, which makes no sense for me. -The WARs. This was one of the most annoying / unfair side of blink ever.
You had to kill a mage party atleast 3x to weaking them abit becouse whenever any of them died, they just went close to the prison gate, used blink and voila: they were at warders / enemy's keeper again. (Which is clearly bug abuse, becouse a melee party once died, they had to stay at the prison for 1mins to 5 mins, then run back to warder [this would be the normal method in war], while mages stayed at warder even after 3rd-4th dead w/o problem.

And those things were pretty unfair i guess aswell when a 6 mage 1 priest 1 sin party could kill ppl like this: 1 sin ran into the big enemy's crowd (lets say the mages were human and the sin were at orc base) and the mages just blinked on him and novaed down every1, even tho 1 sec ago they were at their own town)
[I was that1 sin many times, but it was still unfair, we could make novatowns easily like this too]



Little offtopic at the end, but still related to mages:

I guess u really gotta do smth about wars. (Rather speaking about the original Prison map, than the boat 1.

Becouse as i mentioned at the 2nd point (every1 knows it i guess) once u die in war, mages cannot tp you for like 3-5 mins, and at the prison map, u are even respawning at a prison where u supposed to stay till its open.
But only ~5% of ppl stay there and wait till its opening.

Rest of them doing this:
-Warriors simple descent out on 1 of their party members who didn't die in the last 3 mins and being near to the prison. ( They can use descent only if they are close enough to the door, cuz from the middle of the prison it will fail, but they can walk close to the door so its np.)

-Rest class / warriors who has mages in their parties following this scenario:
They know that mages can't tp them for ~3-5 mins becouse they died, but since most of the community having pc like mine (usually even better which enables them to relogg in like 5 secs depends on how fast u can type ur ID, or just using select char, whatever) they are relogging fast, going close to the gate, their parties inviting them back , and mages tp them out. [It takes like 10 seconds]

If u are asking me its clearly bug abuse again, but as i said 90-95% of the server are using / was using it when i used to be active at wars.
It would be nice to see that this "bug" gettin fixed.
(1 alternative solution: Since this blink / descent thingy works only if u are standing next to the doors and not from the middle of prison [atleast this is how it used to be when i was active at wars], increase the zone where you can't get tp / can't use blink / descent. Make it a size which is bigger than prison's size with like 5 meter from each side. Like this no matter what is ur class, u can't get out of prison, till its opening.)

yeah, -1 with the old mage blink style. It's like mage is the only class allow to use tp scroll in cz.

well sir you make an extreamly good point and changed my mind but i still think the range should be a little longer then decent you get me atleast make it so if you can see a party memnber you can tp on him

Light Shock skill isnt working. (lvl 62 lightning skill)
Also it seems elemental rings (imir,flame,shio tears) isnt working as they boost mage's elemental damage in USKO (because of MYKO server files i guess). I've just tested on scarecrow and still doing same damage
