The problem with the 2h weapons - showing high AP but hitting low - comes from the high weapon defense we have on the server.

CSW and FN wep def could also be lowered to 20 (give it a lil more AC/HP and resist to balance it out)

The dual wield problem doesn't come from the weapon defense ability,it's an old 1299 bug,I've tested to hit a char that doesn't have def ability at all,and the result are still the same(reduced damage),I haven't try it here though,may be we can tested tonight selim? :P

Actually archer dark pursuer skill fails a lot. Dmg should be much more consistent at around 800ish on warrior (from mem) but is consistently hitting for 500ish.

Lowering weapon def on accessories at this point wouldn't work out fine, it would totally fu** up the balance in VS as well as making classes like mage / bps etc dieing like flies at cz even if you'd raise their regular defense, that wouldn't rly help them there after a malice, torment, etc.


As for you Apocalypsy it is indeed cuz of the weapon defenses, w/o csw, kahless, fn you and no shield / maces you hit higher with Hero spear + chaos spear on ppl compared to hero sword, as well as alot higher dmgs with 2x daggers as a sin than 1.


Once there ll be time for it , ll try to add new type offhand weapons against whom weapon defense doesn't exist. Like that it should be fine, but even if the devs ll menage to make it, it ll also requires some changes on the already existing main hand weapons etc not to make certain classes op, so it will surely take time.

talked endlessly with Flegy about it and tried a lot of things ...but apparently you cant just "add" a new weapon type to the server...server needs to recognize that weapon type attack...or it just doesnt work. so i hope that you can add that to make it work...but unfortunately i think we need "the expansion" to make this offhand weapon thingie working...
