I been playing on Mage now for the last 3 hours after the lastest patch and its not that terrible as you describe it.
I still tank many players and i still pwn 2 players with shield and hero staff.
The only small thing that actually got nerfed is the range of the skill of "Fire Staff".Other than that the mage is exactly the same as used to be.
So i don't really know what you are complaining about.
Nothing changed, only the Range of the Fire Staff.
We are talking about this subject for long time and a lot of talking before we made this decision just to make the right decision.
The mage was obviously way too op(talking about the Fire Mage).
And its still OP even after the patch.
But the question was to nerf the Damage or the Range.
We decided to nerf the Range since mage slide every time in VS + doing OP damage which makes that class uncatchedable and undefeatable.
The decision has been made has for all the votes of the
Staff decided to lower only the range.
