Hello all,
As we all know, there's a trending demand for mages recently and since I never played an active mage before, I have some questions about mage builts. I have a side mage char but I used to farm zombie and BUS, nothing else.
So, please consider helping out.

1 - MP Stat Bonuses
Please tell me if the magic power stat bonuses are effective as the native MP stats.
I mean, I remember back in the days of old Usko, people used to say, +MP bonus are not really efficient as the native MP stats -- specially for PK.
So, building a 255 MP mage seems more smart if someome wants pure damage.
However, I make a 160 INT mage with rest stats shared between HP and MP, I will lose damage but, IF I use MP stat accesories, will I gain some attack power back?

2 - Staff Pick
Please also tell me which is more important when picking a staff -- attack power or elemental damage?
Say, I have a mage with 160 int built & flame skill.
Is it better to use a staff with 86 flame damage but lower attack power (ie, Lycaon staff +10)
Or, better use a hell blood with low flame damage but higher attack power?

3 - Your recommends?
Apart from above 2 questions, do you have anyting else to add?
I will be monitoring this thread.
Wish you all merry christmas and a happy new year ahead! <3
1 - The only damage boost you can get for mage, is directly the MP you add in the stats. No MP coming from accessories/armor/weapons affect the damage. MP from accessories/armor/weapons only affect the damage against monsters.
2 - You must take everything into consideration. If you want pure damage, aim for a fulitol. All your damage comes directly from the attack power of the weapon. But take into consideration that if you use fulitol, sins will be jumping on you, and you will get your ass whooped. So I'd say, use either a fulitol, or a scorching staff. Currently, the scorching staff is the most overpower staff in game in my opinion.
3 - 1 thing I can tell you, since i'm an experienced mage (no ego or w/e), don't ever play a mage like if you would be a warrior. In other words, instead of going in, and killing, learn to survive around and do damage. Use rice cakes as much as you can.
