when i open the launcher it updates for a couple seconds and then closes. then i click on the launcher again and it says that the launcher has been moved and the shortcut will not work properly and asks if i want to delete the shortcut. do you think that if i manually download the patches that it will work? please help

Try to download the new client and patches manuelly. on the Main website.
