This place is really horrible. The Filefront client download is missing (doesn't work). The Megaupload client download is bugged (download works but the files are corrupt/game won't start even when you have done everything correct and in order). The Uploading place is just stupid. People try to help but they don't know what to do or how to fix it. The patching is horrible.

If someone can find a cure for the fail patching and fix the whole client to where it actually works. You are a God.

My issues: Download client and install from Megaupload. Run the launcher and let it patch up to 1600. Then hit "Start MaxKO". I wait for about 30 seconds and nothing happens. No game pops up.

Then I did what a fellow member said: Download/Extract patch 1954 and start the game(not launcher) and it works but then when you press "Login" after entering your information it says "Outdated Client". Then you have to run the launcher and then your back to where you were before. No game starts after 1600 is completed.

I then: Re-installed the whole game and did the patching manually, same thing happens.

I HAVE my AV Guard turned off already. There is no point to turn the firewall off because it notifies me of programs it's trying to block, but there was no notification.

Tell me one thing, what windows have you?

hey i have avg as well and turning it off wont work. what you have to do is exclude the files in avg while downloading it. Ill try and explain it as simple as i can so if you dont understand just send me an msn or PM and ill walk you through it. Keep in mind if your already missin the files your going to have to download Maxko again or manually insert the patches and then exclude them

so here is how you do it.
1. open up your avg (i assume its the 2011 edition)
2. on top go under tool, advanced settings.this will open up another window.
3. Under residential Shield their should be a link saying "excluded items" press on that.
4. Their your going to have to go to "Add files" (right hand side of that window)
5. go to where ever you have Maxko folder and you going to have to exlude the following, Launcher.exe, Max.exe, Maxko.exe and just to be sure exclude anything that has .exe in it.

it seems like alot to do but in reality it isnt much and it seems to work for me everytime. (im using avg 2011 as my antivirus and window 7)
