Well both quite overkill for KO. however you can save quite few $$ by getting just the
intel core i7 3930 NON K version. At this time you also won't need the corsair hydro series H80 cpu cooler if you don't plan on overclocking.

i have asus sabertooth x79 too - good choice.

i wouldnt recommend 2x 680's - there is ~125$ diff. between a 670 and 680 but by comparison there is rly little difference between the two cards.

I would recommend getting only 1x gtx 670 - one for now and when prices drop even more after 690's become more popular 670 will be quite cheap to upgrade later on.

Corsair HX-850 V2 80 gold power supply - good.

16gb ddr3 - good.

seagate barracuda-- good too.

with those reductions your looking more at ~2.3k I'd say and you can get ur next gtx 670 at a later date if you think you need more power.

arc

edit; also for your ram dont go above 1600 MHz, as it becomes less stable and will likely break sooner.

What resolution will you be gaming at?

If only 1080p, one 680 would be plenty, as would a single ATI 7970.

3930k wouldn't be used to its full potential on a gaming PC. You would be better off getting something from the ivy bridge 1155 socket family eg. 3770k. (It would actually be slightly better for gaming). This would also mean a different motherboard.

If you do not plan to overclock you can save money on a cheaper mobo, and an air cooling solution for your CPU.

I would definately get an SSD as main boot/program drive.

You can get a cheaper PSU as well. 650W would be plenty for a single GPU system.

I personally recommend getting a dedicated sound card. They are much better than onboard audio.

The
resolution is 2880x900,
ratio 32:10
based with what i planned to use..
______

Getting good cpu,but bad screen also no good.

______

Last time,my cousin upgrade its 6770 version to amd ati radeon 7970,and he got crash in game problem with it.Then,he try use the old 1,it running like the cham.Without any problem,so.Donno what the prob with that 7970.. End of story he change it to gtx 660..

______

Em,about i7 3770k
> ark.intel.com/products/65523
-some info i got it not only an
overclock problem is running
hotter by the hour and someone with Ivy chip
can run a 2 hours stability test of the machine end up with bad result some not even reach 10minute with half ram. Yup it run with lower voltage. But,it may overheat faster. And im 24/7 guy :p.. I think it not suit with me..

_____

Ssd?I got set adapter drive :p so,save space for air flow

_____

"I personally recommend

______

The sound of Air cooling is noisy and annoying..(i like to play at night,if my parent know, them will kicking moo ) :s..

ahhh well I just presumed you were at 1920x1080 - well at your higher resolution probably 2x gtx 680's is more preferable I believe the 680 has the biggest effect over the 670 when the resolution is >1920x1080.

with that you will need the 850 watt powersupply instead of going for lower one like godric suggested.

I have dedicated sound card too but tbh dont notice much difference to that on my motherboard - however if ur spending so much money for comp 50-100$ doesnt mean much I guess xD, Watercooling is good for sure but you always have the chance of it leaking friend got his comp destroyed after I think 2 years of it working gr8. the water pump broke and leaked all over. (fan doesnt happen)

That is a very strange resolution... If you want wide aspect ratio get 3x1080p monitors.

Not sure what you mean here. 3770k is the currently the best CPU for gaming. Is also the fastest CPU on the 1155 socket.

I personally prefer Nvidia but have tried both and they both work fine. ATI generally cheaper per $.

The silicon in the ivy bridge cpus has a lower thermal limit then previous generations. This is only a problem if you put too much voltage into it; no matter what your cooling, once you pass a certain voltage your temps will sky rocket, but, this is only the case if you are pushing a large overclock through it, and if you were pushing it that high I wouldn't recommend using it 24/7.

Not sure what you meant here, but SSD (solid state drive) is one of the biggest performance increases I could recommend for a PC. A must have.

Depends on budget. Auzentech forte, Asus xonar ST and STX are all good. Xonar are considered slightly better for music, auzentech has better gaming audio.

The sound of Air cooling is noisy and annoying..(i like to play at night,if my parent know, them will kicking moo ) :s..

I find the corsair watercooling solutions to be about as good as a high end air cooler. I also find the fin count on the radiators too high and cause louder wind noise as it doesn't let the fan blow easily through (hope that makes sense).

If you are looking at high res gaming I would start to concider VRAM bottlenecks, and opting for 3-4GB video cards would be better. Although if you have graphics settings too high you will probably find you run out of processing power before you hit a VRAM limitation.

As Arc said if you go with 2 cards 850W is probably better suited.

I would disagree with arcs statement about sound card not making much difference :P If you compare them side by side the difference is quite large. Of course, if you dont have decent speakers it will be harder to notice.
