sorry guys ... but I think it still needs to be discussed.
During this weekend I saw like 30-40% of players in cz are Mages.
Especially at evening, when there are 200+ players online.
Whatever you think about Mages - "overpowered" or "to weak" - I think its just not normal to have so many Mages in cz.
It shows me that there is something unbalanced.
There are two classes that can easily ruin a servers pk if they arent balanced very carefully:
Mages + Archers.If you have to many from one of these classes...there is definately something wrong with balance
and it will spoil the pk.
Obviously Archers arent a problem at Maxko... so
here is what I think about Mages:
1. I think it was a good move to make Mages staff hit more powerfull. Makes Mage more versatile - not just Nova/ Party support tp. Mages get lots of kills now (most I think) and it can be fun to own with a good Mage Party.
2. The more a server gets crowded and the more Mages you have, the more the AOE dmg becomes a problem. When there are like 2 Mage Partys throwing Novas in front of town (a gate at CSW) or they rush in a fight from behind...there is no one that survives that, not even a warrior with undy - except he is a lucky good runner

Thats why I suggest to lower Mages AOE dmg. We already have to many unskilled Nova-throwers on this server - getting lots of kills.3. What makes Mages OP (IMO) is the 1h Staff + Shield - usually Tstaff+TShield.
They are hard to kill but they still hit about the same dmg.
Reduce dmg if Mage wear 1h staff or reduce some Bonus from TStaff. You could also make TShield a "Priest-only" shield.
4. Mages hit to much dmg on BDW-Monu.A Party with 3+ Mages will win every BDW now. They can take down monu in 2min... escape with tp.
Or just die, tp, die, tp ...
Even if your Party is leading in kills, you wont hinder them from taking Monu. Its to easy for them.
