To get max performance, simply get an ISO installation media of Windows and in OS X you have a build-in tool that called "Bootcamp" which helps you automatically detect what kind of drivers pack would be needed to download for your system and it will automatically create for you a partition in your hard drive as NTFS format which windows will be installed in it later. Then you boot up your system on the Mac, you can press ALT(option key) before it's booting up and you can choose wehter you want to start as Windows or OS X.

Also make sure that your software is up to date running El-Capitan version before going through this process.
And another important thing, make a Time Machine(another build-in tool in OS-X) backup to external HDD in case something will go wrong during this process, so you can always go back with the time machine backup you created from the recovery-mode of your mac.
Doing this process makes your Mac exactly the same as Windows computer, so this is great because you don't need to use any tools which won't be stable as doing it with Bootcamp.
