Mon5ter off topic ![]() regarding to the balance of items, item development and server economy I searched for something about "mudflation". An obvious direct impact for an operator is that more and more powerful items may need to be sold to generate a given revenue stream; for players, it may be a rapidly declining value of a purchased item. Ever increasing power can quickly cause issues with game mechanics, while rapidly declining value may serve to alienate and drive away players. I remember my USKO times when a warrior had: Raptor, Avedon, Hellbreaker, Giga Axe, Selfname Sword, Spear of Murky + Hanguk etc. All those weapons had their strength and weaknesses. But there was a choice! Same goes for Jewels and Armors - there was lots of options. A matter of taste or situational choices. We dont find this diversity on titanko. Here a new Item always outdates the old one. Its just a constant source of frustration for players - see the wikipedia quote! Cause players will constantly feel outdated. Imagine someone that worked hard for his first dual ROV... ![]() Or someone that donated just a few months ago. He would again be outdated... ![]() and it also makes the server smell more and more like a "pay to pk" ![]() Beside that there is another effect: The constant raise of stats will sooner or later cause more problems with the game mechanics (Weight bug, high wep defense = dual wield problem, buging mobs cause of the high dmg we hit). And where you want to be in 1year? Some GigaAxe with 350AP ? Would require new armors maybe to give more defense? etc.. go on and try to balance all this ![]() ---------------- thats why Im asking for those small but important balancing changes on the Hero weapons. |

continue my list - Im sure there isnt many people reading, but maybe the right people do ![]() 5. there is also some "inflation" of NPs People now can gain 1 million NP per month? I guess the KC rewards for monthly NP winners are to high - it just makes people selfish. 6. PUS Id really like if Flegy would have some constant income from the PUS and not just when there is a new Item or a special deal. Because on the long term it will cause problems to pay the server bills from inventing "new Item" or special deals. the new item problem is well decribed in the wikipedia article above. But the special deal can also be a source of frustration for donators. If Valk set usually costs 800KC but somtimes its offered for 400KC. What do you think people will do? Ofc you will sell 0 Valk sets for the normal price...cause everyone will wait for the next special offer. You could as well set the regular price of this Item to 400, cause people wait to buy it for that price anyway. To many spcial offers just make people hold back their money and wait for the next spcial offer. If somone miss that offer...he will be frustrated. If someone bought before that offer...frustrated too. Best option is to have reasonable low prices and to keep them stable! So people dont have to worry about buying an Item at any time. PUS is to expensive with its regular prices. Hero set for 800KC 50$ DF set for 400KC 30$ Hero set is not so hard to get in game and DF set you get from 5 FTC... there should be less Premium Packages check the difference between normal, ultra, bronze and silver premium... ![]() People actually buy premium not to save rpr costs... ![]() The only Premium that seems worth to get is the Royal Premium with the 50% NP boost - but thats again kinda expensive...costs even more than a monthly WoW subscription... really need some ideas that would help to make premium more attractive for players. so my conclusion - for people that dont like to read so much (MrHolyShit... ![]() - Reduce prices in PUS by half but keep them stable. a permanent 50% discount but no more special offers! - overwork the Premium Packages. Need some new ideas for it, to make it a source for some stable - non item related - server income. |

FINNALY Some1 else that thinks like me..(but has the abillity to post it correct way ![]() Its Not Possible to buy Roimas Warimas Primas ect from PUS for 500kc and ingame the price is 1 Valk Set and +-3 Valk parts. Its Inpossible. Back In MaxKO when Hero armor came out it costed in pus as much as Valk set but ingame people were asking for 2 valk sets for 1 hero set.. nowadays hero sets due to easy drops and collects costs barely 2 ftc...! before xmas event was like 4-5 ftc but things f*ed up in the proccess. @FLEGY as the owner and the highest authority in the server balance ingame market with the PUS market.. ENOUGH with overpricing. ENOUGH with items value missipricing. Micro suggestion: Items can be sold only through npcs for the value they worth... for example 2 chaos(800 kc)= 1 hero weapon or a valkyrie set and you get the desired item if you meet the price balance... Balance the market and therefore the damage models...! |

@Lazaros I guess its hard to balance PUS and ingame market, those things are to much out of control... (Hero = Valks etc) But thats not such a big problem I think. ------- But I was expecting them to do those small changes on Hero Wepaons. Anyway...seems titanko staff has a different opionen and is focusing more on new items. Like I mentioned above, I think this is a wrong way. I would have reduced wep defense on kahless/rings etc... to balance the 2handed weapon problem a little. I would have reduced str bonuses on weapons/kahless - to lower the weight bug problem. But seems Im the only one that is asking for a stat decrease. |

Sorry for late reply - it was crazy busy week. ![]() I will try to answer all things you guys said here. First, in game market is mostly out of our control. We can try some changes but on the other end, it's always depends on players and their trading skills. About hero wepaons or any other stats for that matter; it's hard to change it now. Maybe we did some mistake by adding so strong weps/items so soon but now we can't change them. We will have a lot of guys that spend money/time farming it for those stats exactly. Even if we reduce ALL stats on all items that would be a huge let down for our players. We can edit some small things just for now. Next, about 'new' items. I can't say about some project thats still in development but I can refer to new rings. We had ROVs over 6 years almost. And they were all class rings. You could get 6 from vote and viola, you are all set up. Now, you need to gather some items to trade for new ring and even if you get it you can use it only for one class/character. And then you need to trade again - and that keeps market alive. Soon we will come up with few more items but until then I won't give any detail. ![]() About PUS action, there you go now. You have one right now. 30% xmass action. It's pretty good deal I think. But we have still time to fix it until it comes out to surfice. ![]() "Pay to play" - that is just wrong. This server is not like that. FIFA is pay to win. Titan is fair server. All items that you can buy you can farm aswell. Expect Valks and new rings. Tho we give valks every now and then to winners of some event and we will start doing that with new rings aswell. For now cause they are still new we keep them only in PUS. I will reread whole topic again just to make sure I answer all of your question and suggest. ![]() ![]() Thank you for your concern about our server and gameplay. |

GM_Heisenberg so if I payed money few days ago to buy KC and then I got items in PUS for normal prices , and now you make 30% discounts , did you make a fool of me ???? |

No. Action is action. Now is 30% for Christmas time as all stores or shops do all over the World. If you ask me it's normal conclusion to anticipate action in PUS during Xmas or New Year. |

But quite often we had 50% special offers... Valks for 400KC...once even saw them for 300KC ![]() I missed that 300KC offer by 15min... cause I felt asleep after a long vs event and woke up at 0:15 ![]() On the long term you just make people hold back their money, cause everyone wants to buy for a good price. ------------------------ Thanks GM_Heisenberg for your reply! I see things different about market. I still think a new Item should not completely excel the old one - its rather spoiling the market than helping. ( see prices for ROV now...) I dont think that any player would have complained if you would have given the HeroSword +10 health or take away the 5 str from Hero Axe. I know you want those high AP warrior weapons (same goes for passion skills) ![]() Will leave it like this. |
